Our family, the McCahills of Littleton, Colorado - Tom, Carol, Conor, Megan and Neil - first came to Glen Arbor for a family reunion in 1986, fell in love with the Leelanau Penninsula and have been returning to Glen Arbor every summer, for over 30 years now!  The entire McCahill Clan (over 70 of us) who originally hail from the south side of Chicago, still enjoy family reunions at Glen Lake.

Since 2009, we’ve been spending our summers on Glen Lake operating On The Narrows Marina. It has been such a fun family business for us that in 2011, we decided to take on another project, just down the road - McCahill’s Crossing Motel and Dairy Bar.

We remodeled the motel and dairy bar with families in mind and hope that your experience with us will create special memories that will last a lifetime.  Opening in 2012, guests discovered our family friendly motel, casual food menu and delicious ice cream.

We have decided to lease the Dairy Bar for summer 2018. We have enjoyed serving families but we are ready for a change. We will post more information about who will be replacing us and its offerings soon! 

We will continue to operate the motel and marina. We’re proud of our small family businesses and our friendly staff and look forward to another beautiful summer in Glen Arbor.
